So much to do!

Lists, lists, lists, lists of lists! We seem to have established a routine, Terry’s checking over everything on Sisu. Our main & genoa are good. The genoa had a thorough checking over whilst undergoing some small repair work at Crusader Sails last Sept, all sound. We’ve bought a new spinnaker to replace our existing one plus a snuffer, later in the year we’ll be using these, there hasn’t been much call for spinnaker action here! Life raft’s just been serviced. We bought a new VHF with a remote for use in the cockpit, and Terry’s been busy fitting a watermaker & holding tank for the loo. Every piece of equipment, fixture, you name it, is being thoroughly checked over for wear & tear. Terry fitted Sisu out when he bought her, being an electrician & engineer he knows her intimately! We will also carry spares & even spares for spares! Checking over Sisu has thrown up some areas for tweaking, the hatch had signs of wear when taken apart, we’ll fit a new Perspex hatch which will let in more light. Wiring & plumbing too, tidying up & improving function, the jobs that were fine, but now can be perfected. My job is currently painting & varnishing, comparing brushwork, we agreed this is my area of the ship! It’s an opportunity to give her an overall makeover, show her as the beauty she is! So, a variety of wooden shapes & sizes come & go from our production line in our outhouse, Sisu’s presently a floating jigsaw being put together, it’s exciting to see the pieces fit. It’s satisfying to tick off jobs, not so much when two jobs replace the one ticked off!
